Job Summary Client provided preferences:

  • Experience in an accounting practice rather than an accountant in a single business.
  • 3+ years experience with Australian accounting
  • Fast and accurate, attention to detail.
  • Experience with preparing workpapers Odyssey is good at this and provides a single PDF workpaper with code references to each key item on the P&L and balance sheet.
  • 1+ years experience with Xero bookkeeping, Xero ledgers and Xero tax
  • Experience with Xero Practice Manager would be a plus. We dont currently use this but are considering it.
  • Good English skills written skills to avoid spelling errors on GL account names, verbal skills so we can communicate effectively via MS teams
  • Highly proficient with excel
  • Touch typing speed 40wpm
  • Fast touch typing on number keypad for data entry
Summary of above:

Technical Skills needed:
  • Able to perform finalization of accounts for various entities
  • Experience with Xero bookkeeping, Xero ledgers and Xero tax preparations
  • Experience with Xero Practice Manager is preferable
  • Experience with preparing workpapers with Xero and Odyssey
General -
  • Good English skills written and verbal
  • Highly proficient with excel
