What success looks like in this role:

• In this role you will be responsible for leading the Requirements phase; Accountable for requirements analysis andtheir documentation with completeness
• Responsible for having required sign-off with relevant stakeholders (Product management, Marketing, etc.) on agreed-on requirements
• Responsible for finalizing the HLD and LLD for the product.
• Accountable for completing Technical feasibility studies
• Work in an engineering team and understand the portfolio of the products, the technical architecture, tools, processes, etc.

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer science or equivalent.
• 9+ years in System software product development experience.

Key Skills:

• Ability to define architecture for System Software, Client-Server Products
• Ability to understand, evaluate and propose new features for existing and upcoming products
• Ability to provide architectural and design artifacts for Systems/Networking products.
• Strong domain knowledge and exposure to different technologies
• Systems and network programming experience
• Experience on ClearPath MCP / OS 2200 would be an added plus
• Deep knowledge of Product engineering life cycle
• Specialized knowledge in one or more technical areas encompassing the software and hardware engineering and integrated technology stacks
• Understanding of systems engineering and the architectural frameworks
• Proven ability to solve customers business problems by leveraging technical solutions
• Deep understanding of Global engineering environment and ability to provide technical leadership in cross-cultural teams
• Prior experience in mentoring and coaching junior and high potential engineering teams to sharpen the technical skills and improve productivity in complex technical environments
• Ability to lead conceptual research projects and take the results / prototypes to large scale engineering projects.

For Database related:

• Experience with data management (eg. Permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
• Extensive experience working on RDBMS, DMS, development in any of these databases.
• Working experience with hands on experience in C, C++, VC++, Data structures, security (SSL, Encryption and Decryption methods)
• Experience in design and development of Database internals
• Experience with advanced SQL skills

Secondary Skills

• Understanding of C++, Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET, Windows APIs, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe.
• Individual contributor, Leadership & team player, communication skills
• Exposure to a culture of Devops would be an added advantage
• Good Verbal and written communication skills
