Sr. Android/ Mobile Engineer Job in Ums Tech Labs

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and a finished product.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs.
• Unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Ability to work on projects without detailed instructions being a self starter and taking ownership is a crucial requirement for this role.
• Train Android Professionally to corporates/ institutes.

SpecificSkillSets:

• You Should have 2+ yrs of experience.
• You should be excellent in English (This is required for the professional training).
• You should be Willing to train Android professionally .
• MVC experience will be a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of Android APIs and platform capabilities (e.g.: location based capabilities within apps) .
• Should have experience in handling push notifications from servers to Android app.
• Past experience of shipping mobile products (live apps in Play Store a huge plus).
• Comprehensive understanding of Android application architecture, Activities, Services, Intents, Content Providers & Notifications, Web Apps and Web Views.
• Expertise in working on multi threaded apps, XML & JSON, and web services.
• Knowledge of interactive application development paradigms, memory management, and multi threading.
• Should be able to do peer code reviews and quality assurance tasks on developed product.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with designers and developers preference for.
• Familiarity with material design UI concepts and interactions.
• Experience with unit test frameworks (e.g. Robotium, Robolectric etc).
• Should have Play Store marketing knowledge.
