Job Summary
Job Profile
- Develop product design strategies and concepts according to directors/HOD requirements. Prepare product design specifications and create design sketches and drawings.
- Plan and execute product designs within allotted budget and timelines.
- Recommend new tools and technologies to complete design projects.
- Maintain a design library for reference purposes.
- Share new design ideas and methodologies with management.
- Assist in product development and implementation activities.
- Evaluate product designs and recommend improvements.
- Stay abreast with design trends and techniques.
- Researching similar products and developing ideas
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 3 to 4 years of experience
- Be creative and have an eye for shape and colour
- Understand different materials and production methods have technical, practical and scientific knowledge and ability
- Understand what director/HOD look for in a product
- Be able to use drawings, computer designs to express creative ideas
- Have strong IT skills
- Should be good at planning and organizing
- Should be able to work out costing and budgets
- Should be good at explaining ideas to people with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Software skills required - Rhinoceros, Keyshot, Solidworks, 3ds Max, Photoshop and corel draw
