Sr. System Administrator (SysOps & DevOps)

Skills/Expertise Required : Linux Server Administration, CI/CD Jenkins, Nginx, Apache, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS, GoDaddy, application security, sever security, Server/application logging and monitoring, Shell scripting for Automating tasks, client communication.

Job Description :

• Excellent English communication & amazing problem solving skills is a must.
• Must be able to suggest and recommend solutions to external clients and should have experience with client communications, requirement gathering and understanding.
• Responsible for overall IT infrastructure and solutions management and should be able to provide guidance to junior associates.
• Should act as point of contact for all IT related escalations and reporting.
• Should be proficient in server security hardening/patching, Jenkins CI/CD, webservers (Nginx/Apache), MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS , Linux shell scripting for Automating tasks.
• Plan and perform periodic checks of systems & software.
• Manage the configuration and operation of cloud and in premise IT infrastructure.
• Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
• Hand on experience with using various backup solutions and monitoring.
• Upgrade systems and processes as and when required for enhanced functionality and security aspects.
• Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes.
• Review application logs.
• Install and test computer-related equipment.
• Adding/deleting/creating/modifying user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
• Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
• Keeping the network up and running.
• Setup security policies for users. A sysadmin must have a strong grasp of computer security (e.g. firewalls, Routers like Pfsense, Mikrotik, sonicwall).
• Documentation in form of internal wiki.
• Password and identity management.
• Automation software such as puppet, chef, etc.
• Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP etc.
• Network services in cloud such as Content delivery networks (Cloudflare, CloudFront, etc.) and DNS servers.
• Should be comfortable working with GIT / GitLab Code versioning tool.
• Design and implement best practices for overall IT operations as and when required.
