As a Senior Software Architect / Manager, heres what you can do at Buck:

• personnel supervision including reporting and mentoring,
• project management including monitoring, assigning and prioritising work,
• business analysis and problem-solving skills including communicating solutions effectively,
• satisfying documentation and administration requirements within the team,
• overseeing or participating in solution architectural decisions and reviewing technical specifications,
• contributing to product management and innovation initiative discussions and presentations,
• covering team leader absences when necessary,
• other technology-related work as required.

Heres what you will bring:

• BSc in computer science or equivalent technically challenging work experience,
• 7+ years recent experience managing software development of a web-based application portfolio,
• Previous experience managing a distributed team of software developers,
• Collaboration experience across global project teams with multiple disciplines,
• Good understanding of enterprise application architecture and cloud options,
• Experience in web application security, overseeing security reviews and best practices,
• Experience with data transfer protocols and methodologies,
• Experience working with web and windows services,
• Experience communicating effectively both technically and in laymans terms,
• Previous participation in design, code and test reviews,
• Experience as a technical lead with good problem solving, debugging & troubleshooting skills,
• Ideally with a software development background but not essential.
