As an ideal candidate, you are obsessed with solving user problems, will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and an innovative mindset to fill them. You re a highly-skilled market analyst with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of product production from conception through release. You are a confident leader who has experience guiding cross-functional teams in the successful creation of products that improve consumer experience and grow market share.

Role / Responsibilities :

Product Strategy

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build vs. buy perspective to create a best in class parenting product
  • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and marketing activities;
  • Drive BI effort for your products to better understand your customers and your business;
  • Identify key success metrics, analyze the results of product changes, and communicate results and next steps to cross-functional team members.
  • Assess and validate product priorities and set strategic direction to deliver on customer needs and key metrics.

Product Development

  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap and delivery plan in support of solving market and customer problems;
  • Define, document, and communicate objectives, requirements, and constraints for product initiatives and releases
  • Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability;
  • Drive project schedules from design to release, communicate to stakeholders, and manage the product launch on time with high quality;
  • Translate product strategy into requirements for prototype construction and final product development by the engineering team.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, balancing dependencies across multiple platforms
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to iterate and improve the product
  • Analyze and review product and user interaction data

Product Marketing

  • Strategize appropriate go-to-market plans
  • Drive product launches including working with the public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the AsianParent Group and its features across primary market segments
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding Skills and Qualifications

Career Experience :

  • 6+ years of experience in roles that think analytically about product/business initiatives,
  • 3+ of which specifically should be in engineering or product management roles for high volume B2B or B2C products

Functional experience
Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle for products on multiple platforms, including web and mobile
Capable of establishing, evangelizing a business case to support product strategy and direction;
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

Qualities
History of customer focused and agile product development.
Solid interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and motivate others;
Proven record of persuading others without having direct authority over them; ability to cultivate team flexibility under changing conditions;
Worked and comfortable with distributed/remote domestic teams;
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one s sleeves to get the job done.
Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.

A Plus

Experience working at an organization/ with a product that has scaled from small to large.

Usability expertise and design taste.
Understanding of data science, and analytics focus.
Successful customer management experiences.
Knowledge of Ad Tech platforms and other monetization models and technology.
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
MBA or master in technology / digital management.
