Each institution will have a DICOM gateway component installed. There are two challenges, it needs to work with the DICOM protocols (using Orthanc software) and also run unattended with minimal support similar to a network device like a router/gateway/proxy. The developer will need to be used to working with Linux Docker images and configuring them for reliable use. The developer will need to train themselves to have a deep understanding the DICOM protocol, the meta data associated with images, and the Orthanc software.
It is likely that the Flowable / Orthanc / Java software components will initially be developed by a third party. However, the developer will be expected to take the development over and further develop it once the direction is set. This will involve marshalling the 2,000+ images within a study and forwarding the correct ones to the central Strauss service for processing.
They will be expected to work with the WebService Developer to establish the HTTPS based communication between the institution gateway software and the Amazon API Gateway.
Key Skills: Web Services, image processing, open source, docker/linux, workflow, Java, learning DICOM and Orthanc.
Qualification : Any Graduate in Any Specialization
