Our goal is to empower a data-driven decision-making culture across the organization. We offer reporting services to support the needs of other teams within SIS, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our data-driven strategies.

As a Data Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be at the forefront of strengthening our data engineering capabilities. You will deliver data engineering pipelines and solutions through our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) for various groups and divisions, playing a crucial role in our data-driven initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform source-to-target data analysis and mappings.

  • Collaborate with admins, developers, data engineers, and analysts to ensure successful functionality delivery.

  • Conduct requirement analysis and coordinate with project managers and development teams to drive the delivery cycle.

  • Assist the team with request backlogs and sprint planning.

  • Build and test data pipelines for various use cases based on requirements.

  • Support the evolution of EDP architecture and participate in roadmap activities related to data platform architecture initiatives or changes.

  • Work with leadership and partners to ensure data quality and integrity in EDP and other data platforms for BI/Analytical reporting.

  • Anticipate potential risks and communicate them to partners to develop a mitigation plan.

  • Follow agile development methodologies and DevOps practices to deliver solutions and product features.

  • Ensure the team adheres to prescribed development processes and approaches.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.

  • Proficiency in Python programming.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and best practices.

  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and partner communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and requirement documentation skills.

  • Exceptional prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
