Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Travel Consultant to join our team. As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting clients with planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, tours, and other services. You will provide expert advice on destinations, travel options, and create personalized travel itineraries to meet client needs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable travel experience. Key Responsibilities: Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and specific requirements. Provide personalized recommendations based on their interests, schedule, and budget. Travel Planning: Plan and organize comprehensive travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, tours, transportation, and activities, ensuring all aspects of the trip align with the client s expectations. Booking Services: Book travel services such as flights, hotels, rental cars, and tours. Ensure all bookings are accurate, timely, and meet the client s specifications. Travel Documentation: Assist clients with obtaining necessary travel documents such as visas, passports, and travel insurance. Ensure all requirements are met for international travel. Travel Advice: Provide expert knowledge of destinations, including local customs, weather, top attractions, and current travel advisories. Help clients make informed decisions based on their preferences and travel conditions. Problem Resolution: Handle issues or changes in travel plans, including cancellations, delays, and last-minute adjustments. Offer solutions and alternatives to ensure client satisfaction. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the trip, ensuring all client needs are met and that they have a positive travel experience. Research and Update: Stay informed about the latest trends, destinations, travel promotions, and industry changes. Continuously expand knowledge of travel products and services to provide accurate information. Sales and Targets: Meet sales targets by recommending and selling travel packages, upgrades, and additional services such as travel insurance or excursions. Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by offering personalized travel experiences and following up after trips to ensure satisfaction. Collaboration: Work with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel service providers to ensure competitive pricing, availability, and high-quality services for clients. Qualifications: Experience: 2+ years of experience as a travel consultant, travel agent, or in a customer service-oriented role in the travel industry. Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in travel, tourism, or hospitality is a plus. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of travel destinations, airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and various travel services. Familiarity with booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) and global distribution systems (GDS). Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate travel options clearly and persuasively. Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with a focus on understanding client needs and providing personalized solutions. Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple bookings, itineraries, and client requests simultaneously. Sales Abilities: Ability to upsell travel packages, tours, and other services to meet sales goals. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with online booking tools, travel management software, and MS Office Suite. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to resolve travel-related issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction. Preferred Skills: Multilingual: Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus, especially for international travel planning. Certifications: Certification as a Travel Consultant (e.g., IATA, CLIA, or Travel Institute certification) is a plus. Industry Connections: Established relationships with travel service providers, hotels, and tour operators are beneficial. Working Conditions: Full-time position with potential for flexible hours.
