Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and visionary Cloud Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that align with business needs and enhance operational efficiency. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, migration strategies, and a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture Design: Design, plan, and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions based on business and technical requirements. Cloud Platform Expertise: Lead the implementation of cloud solutions on major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Select appropriate cloud services to meet business goals. Cloud Migration: Plan and execute cloud migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while transitioning workloads from on-premise environments to the cloud. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate cloud infrastructure deployments. Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for cloud security, data protection, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2). Ensure cloud solutions are secure and meet organizational security policies. Cost Management and Optimization: Monitor cloud spending, provide cost-efficient solutions, and optimize cloud infrastructure usage to prevent over-provisioning and reduce overall costs. Collaboration: Work with development, operations, and security teams to design cloud-native applications, integrate with existing systems, and ensure efficient deployment pipelines (CI/CD). Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor cloud systems to ensure performance, availability, and scalability meet or exceed SLAs. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues as needed. Documentation: Document cloud architecture designs, processes, and guidelines. Ensure knowledge sharing and provide training to teams on cloud best practices. Research and Innovation: Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices. Recommend and incorporate new technologies that enhance cloud capabilities and improve overall system performance. Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud environments to ensure data resilience and service availability. Qualifications: Education: A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus. Experience: 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud solutions design, or a similar IT infrastructure role. Cloud Platform Expertise: Extensive experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Deep understanding of cloud services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, databases, security). Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud-native architectures and technologies (microservices, containers, serverless). Strong experience with DevOps practices and automation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins). Knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring tools within cloud environments. Familiarity with serverless computing, containerization, and orchestration frameworks. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar. Security & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, encryption, IAM, and compliance regulations. Performance & Cost Optimization: Ability to design solutions that balance performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in cloud infrastructure and services. Leadership and Communication: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to guide technical teams, interact with stakeholders, and communicate complex cloud architectures clearly. Collaboration: Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with engineers, developers, and other technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certifications. Programming Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) or familiarity with programming languages such as Java or Node.js. Hybrid Cloud Experience: Experience in designing and managing hybrid cloud solutions or multi-cloud environments. Cloud Cost Management Tools: Experience with cloud cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or CloudHealth.
