Job Summary
To develop and maintain HSE excellence and facilitate continual improvement by creating a cycle of activities, including aspects identification and prioritization, performance measurements, self-assessments and audits.
- Manage the environmental, health and safety activities to ensure compliance with national and international EHS regulation, standards & internal policies and management system.
- Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to regulatory and internal company guideline.
- Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Identify opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. (The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential.)
- conduct safety audit, train the workforce, safety onsite inspections to identify workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices or conditions etc.
- conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention. Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle workers compensation claims. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
- Assist and guide management to understand OSHAS standards, regulations, compliance etc.
- Work closely with Medical team and head emergency response team. Strengthen Emergency response team and Plan.
Work with trade, professional & Government organisations to promote goals and objectives in health and safety areas that affect companys business. - Work closely with regulatory government authorities, Factory inspectorate, Pollution control board etc. to comply with all regulatory requirements and submittals.
Knowledge and Skills expected:
- Through knowledge of HSE legislation.
- Competent risk assessor.
- Communication.
- Should be able to work in Cross Functional team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Intense focus on providing support to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
Education, Experience Requirements:
- Recognized degree in any branch of engineering or technology, Preferably in M-Tech in HSE or possess a degree or diploma in Industrial safety recognized by the state Government of Kerala .
- Should have adequate knowledge of local language ( Malayalam)
- Preferably HSE Certifications NEBOSH, IOSH,OSHA
