Job Descriptions: This role requires to work in US hours for the following reasons: Should be willing to work in US hours until 11PM-12 am Demand for Release Management support goes on throughout most of the day. Requires working on weekends to lead the deployment of WST releases. There are 1-2 daily Change Management Advisory Boards (AM and PM) that the Sr. Release Manager attends when the IT Director is unable to. Profile Summary: The release manager is responsible for managing the end to end lifecycle of a release by following the Client's Release Management process. This process encompasses the planning, design, configuration, build, test and production implementation of hardware and software modifications from inception through post implementation verification. Takes ownership and ensures coordination of all release activities with members of the Business, IT, and Project Management areas. Profile Description: Manage the life-cycle of a release for hardware and software modifications and new deployments by following the release management process as well as other core IT service management processes as needed, across multiple application suites. Build a release roadmap to identify scope and timelines in collaboration with team members and leadership to plan execution minimizing/avoiding risk of collision with other changes/releases. Meet monthly or quarterly with Business Leaders to review priorities for future work. Document the full lifecycle of release in the service management tool by completing the major activities through each tollgate and acquiring required approvals from business stakeholders and project management, following and executing all IT service management processes as needed, throughout the release lifecycle. Identify risks, manage interdependencies and timing concerns, to ensure milestone adherence and ensure that release integrity can be measured. Coordinate efforts with other release managers and application suite managers, for large multidiscipline teams in a matrix management organization with tasks associated with the release scope, to confirm resource availability (escalate to senior leaders as appropriate for follow-up). The disciplines include operations, BA/BSA, QA, developers, project management, infrastructure, senior business & IT leaders, and supplier resources & leaders. Create release plans and conduct release readiness -, milestone - and business go/no-go reviews with technical team, project managers and the business stakeholders to include release policies, milestones, test plan and success criteria. Develop communication plans including scope and change control management with stakeholders and team members. Communicate plan of execution and impact to CI asset owners affected by release. Communication and escalate issues related to the release plan, scope, schedule, implementation quality and final results of the executed release. Provide metrics, release scorecard and reporting for all releases and escalates as appropriate. Coordinate execution plan and monitor activities during the release implementation, ensuring technical support is available to assist technical resources before, during and after the installation, and that any production issues are identified, tracked and resolved during the post installation phase. Adhere to SLA agreements and/or request approval for deviation from SLA's if it meets process policies and guidelines for such approvals. Participate in post implementation review and continuing service improvement meetings. Participate in CAB and release advisory meetings to review release and changes. Other duties and projects as assigned. Knowledge & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 4-8 years of release management experience or enterprise-wide project management 3-6 years of experience in application and hardware implementation ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred. Detailed understanding of ITIL Release, Change and Configuration Management Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle. Demonstrated effective leadership and critical thinking skills. Very strong written and verbal communication skills Strong Project management & organizational skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate & ability to build relationships with various stakeholders in a matrixed environment Proven record of flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities Exposure and familiarity with automated testing tools, process management tools and change management Experience with ServiceNow and analytics tools Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint Understanding of Client's Change management & Release management processes desired Proven ability to solve problems /strong critical thinking skills
