Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect to join our team and help us build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures. As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud-based solutions across AWS and Azure environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage security controls and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring the integrity and security of applications and infrastructure in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Design & Implementation:
- Understand and apply customer security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements to design and implement cloud security tools and solutions.
- Develop security criteria, procedures, and policies in line with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Provide guidance on system hardening to ensure cyber resilience.
Cloud Security Architecture:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design cloud security frameworks and architectures, ensuring they meet business and security requirements.
- Design and implement cloud security measures, including IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance controls.
- Manage PKI, SSL CA in cloud environments.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cloud solutions.
- Ensure cloud-based solutions are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, GDPR, etc.).
- Perform security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure and applications to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
Incident Response & Monitoring:
- Deploy security monitoring and logging tools to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Ensure rapid threat identification and mitigation to reduce impact on business operations.
- Perform disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) planning, including regular testing and simulations.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement security requirements in cloud environments.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members, sharing expertise on cloud security best practices, tools, and technologies.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to track and report on security-related tasks.
Cloud Security Strategy & Cost Optimization:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to optimize cloud spending and manage budgets effectively.
Skills & Qualifications:
Cloud Security Expertise:
- In-depth experience designing and securing cloud architectures in AWS and Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure native security tools such as AWS IAM, AWS GuardDuty, AWS WAF, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel.
- Experience with cloud-native services (e.g., containers, serverless architectures, microservices).
Security Technologies & Tools:
- Proficiency with security tools like Nessus, Burp Suite, MobSF, SonarQube, Nmap, Metasploit.
- Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling frameworks (e.g., STRIDE, CVSS).
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and secure cloud networking (VPCs, security groups, network peering).
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, GDPR, DPDPA).
- Ability to perform risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Scripting & Automation:
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and security tool integration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and security integrations into CI/CD pipelines.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to address complex security challenges.
- Ability to assess, manage, and mitigate cloud infrastructure risks efficiently.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CEH, CCSP, or SSCP are preferred.
Additional Skills:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security teams.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on cloud security practices and principles.
