Job Summary

Job Description: Responsible for planning, developing and implementing sales program in the Zone at micro level(store and brick level) to achieve monthly budgeted nos. for category. Fix a Calendar event with all stake holders ideally M-1 (by 20th 22nd of the Month) To ensure full size consistent availability of key article on floor including updating of MSF as per current sales growth trend of stores in close coordination with the NCMs and SCM. Tracking and planning to achieve Private Label sales targets and growth to achieve budgeted sales mix. Towards enhancing overall category contribution in the region. Analyse MIS reports (daily sales reports; stock ageing; fortnightly benchmarking reports; sales information & market feedback; inventory reports), analyse data on consumers, competitors and brands into intelligence that informs sales planning process Track monthly performance (sell through, inventory mix and level, retail presentation, store category profitability and target achievement) against plan and proactively identify solutions to close performance gaps, if any. OPERATIONAL : Internal Business Processes Sales Budget vs Achievement Channel wise with specific weightages Margin delivery Channel Wise Drive Select Projects for the Region to deliver Sales (Item Merchandising etc.) plus Mix (esp. on lines beyond the Top 20) Availability NOOS / A / B / C target vs Achievement at the Brand / SKU level including ensuring NOOs Availability at 100% through alternate channel buying with due approvals if required. Responsible for in-store Planning, coordination & evaluation of promotions, marketing and Visual Merchandising support Initiating transfers and returns in order to keep inventory levels at bay as also to enhance sales. Setting up of category during Store Launches; right from competition survey to business plan to execution on floor. Ensure full activation of the key building block on floor to increase sales and reduce slow movement inventory. Tracking, reviewing and give guideline to stores to ensure on growth of key Parameters Bill Penetration, No of Bills and ABV of category to help top line growth. Identifying slow moving/old stock and co-ordinate with category and vendor to liquidate the same to ensure minimization of bad inventory and reduce dad%. Regional & Imported Vendor / Brands availability specifically Map the Customer Basket both wrt MT and GT Tracking and plan to achieve monthly regional sales targets (Volume, Value, Rupee Gross Margin, inventory levels) . Track the Forecast of quantity projections made by the Region to bring in accountability Share Market Intelligence wrt what are the changes and trends in Assortment & propose the next steps Benchmark both MT & GT Review Assortment / Pack Size wrt Customer Basket & not get limited to the Approved / Previous Master Map the GT & Kirana assortment and propose addition of relevant lines to the master and ensure availability. Planning and executing the regional festive and category thematic plan. Guideline and to ensure execution of category display norms, promo execution, Paid asset execution and off shelf visibility 100% implementation in the zone. Detail planning and selection of SKU s for BTL activation of the region. Monitor execution and performance of promotions Addition of regional assortment as per local market and competition benchmarking Additional Income generation (Asset sold) Payment issue resolution for vendors with the help of NCM and SCM to prioritise supply basis on current requirement. Co-ordinate consumer activation programs. Implement the retail operations process to achieve the required level of efficiency and quality customer service. Prepare detailed launch plans for new category / product launches in conjunction with the National Category team and ensure the communication and sales targets for same are cascaded to the Department Manager. Addressing all vendor related issue. Weekly follow on payments of vendor basis on the criticality of supply and availability. Helping HR team with all compliance certificates for promoter entry at store. Vendor Meetings to ensure Fill Rates. Act as the bridge between category, SCM, DC and marketing. Identifying category gaps and initiating dialogues with brands that can close these gaps. Regular Coordination with regional warehouse team (RDC), National Category team, Replenishment team and planning team to ensure smooth operation in region. Vendor issue resolution for promo not on/ stock not getting accepted/display not in place. Approving all GRWM/NRGP/IST at store level.
