Job Purpose: The incumbent will be involved in Development Services business that covers small molecule services for drug substance, drug product development as well as stability studies.

Key Responsibilities:
Promote Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) development services in the assigned territories, building a robust and sustainable pipeline of accounts and achieving and exceeding allocated targets
Consultative sales and business development with a focus on bringing in net new accounts into the firm as well as account management and up-selling into existing accounts
Utilize efficient market analysis and outreach methodologies to grow business and relationships into multi-year contracts spanning pre-clinical and Investigational New Drug (IND) and New Drug Application (NDA) to commercial launch
Interact with R&D and procurement/sourcing teams of big and small, including specialty biopharma companies to qualify the company as a preferred supplier and position the firm as an innovative solutions-oriented Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO)
Deliver technical and business presentations to key pharmaceutical decision makers and representing the company at trade shows and industry forums
This job requires extensive travel to meet customers
Strong relationship builder with existing connects within the biopharma industry and consistent year on year sales performance and ability to close targets of $7-9 Million annually
Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
Ensure environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures are imparted via training and adhered within the team

Educational Qualification:
Graduate/Post graduate in a scientific/technical field

Technical/functional Skills:
Combination of technical and commercial marketing and sales expertise
Ability to generate leads, make client presentations, partner with the India based team to prepare quotes and proposals to successfully close deals
Exceptional research skills and use of standard web-based resources and databases like United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), PubMed, LinkedIn
Ability to work with and design sophisticated documents (Word, PowerPoint presentations, Excel sheets) to build relevant collaterals (business case, reports, technical letters, etc.) as needed
Possess the knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices


Experience:
Hands on experience of 8-12 years, of which last 8 years must be in the relevant industry with an excellent understanding of market, business, sales and technical aspects of the pharmaceutical R&D process
Must have worked in a global environment with a geographically dispersed delivery and support team and well-versed with client engagement process from prospecting to closing
Proven track record selling services and nurturing relationships with R&D and procurement/sourcing heads of small, mid-sized, specialty and large pharma and biotech companies in the relevant territories
Experience in using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
