Job purpose
To support process safety excellence implementation and Identify needs required to comply with Process safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Process safety management excellence implementation. Identify needs required to comply with PSM requirements.
- Track and follow-up of action items/completion to ensure timing solution of any findings from process safety audits, PHA studies and other PSM assessment activities.
- Evaluate the changes proposed from Process safety perspective and advise accordingly for effective controls.
- Should drive process safety event investigations/root cause analysis to provide guidance to all plants. In conjunction with site management teams, track progress of corrective actions where business wide issues are identified.
- Interaction with others - Effective communication and interaction with different people.
- Should possess knowledge on Process safety activities and should drive the activity.
- Managing a team for preparation of risk assessment report before execution of plant scale batch.
- Assist plant in leading Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) and PRA for major risk projects by providing expert support in PHA/PRA methodologies.
- Ensure plant PHA team are trained in proper PHA techniques and ensure plant PHAs are led by appropriately qualified personnel. Review results of all PHAs for quality and thoroughness.
- Coordinating with cross functional team such as manufacturing, R&D, Engineering & Maintenance and EHSS for implementation of PSM effectively across the group.
- Should possess knowledge on scale up activities and manufacturing plant.
- Should possess knowledge on EHSS standards.
- Able to work with little or no guidance and support for implementation of PSM effectively.
- Should possess thorough understanding on reaction calorimetry, screening tools such as DSC and other qualitative tools.
- Should possess adequate knowledge on powder safety data analysis.
- Should able to analyse and assess process safety data generated.
- Adherence to standards such as data integrity, safety standards and compliance.
- Initiative - Works independently, initiates activity
- Persistence - Sustains performance until task is completed
- Productivity - Performs activities at an acceptable rate.
- Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
- Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor s degree in Chemical engineering
Technical/functional Skills:

Experience:
- 9-12 years post qualification

- While possessing a good ability to follow instruction should also demonstrate innovative in his/her approach, good communication skills.
- Should be proactive while working on allotted responsibility.
