Job Summary

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Executive Specialist to join our team in the scale-up lab/pilot plant. You will be responsible for carrying out manufacturing operations in accordance with Syngene's safety guidelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct manufacturing operations in the scale-up lab/pilot plant, adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), good documentation practices, and data integrity policies.
  • Ensure facility readiness for production activities.
  • Monitor and control production processes.
  • Coordinate preparation of master documents required for production, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Equipment Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Process Development Reports (PDRs).
  • Maintain contemporaneous documentation in electronic notebooks, lab notebooks, or Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) during batch execution, following the ALCOA principle (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, and Accurate).
  • Collaborate with the EAM team to ensure equipment preventative maintenance (PM) and instrument calibrations are completed on schedule.
  • Verify calibration of instruments like pH meters and weighing balances in the scale-up lab/pilot plant.
  • Check equipment readiness before initiating manufacturing activities and ensure cleanliness and availability of raw materials.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Update and maintain logbooks and daily checklists.
  • Proficient in using MS Office, Outlook, and other essential tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide shift updates to superiors on project status and plans.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. Chemistry
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry
  • Experience handling chemical reactions in a pilot plant/scale-up lab/production environment
  • Experience in batch charging, filtration/work-up, drying activities, product handling, and packaging
  • Strong documentation skills with knowledge of BMRs, logbooks, and lab notebooks/electronic notebooks
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
