Job Purpose:

Performing activities like collection of blood samples, processing of blood samples which includes activities like centrifugation, separation of biological matrix.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collection and Processing of blood samples which includes activities like centrifugation, separation of biological matrix.
• Store the separated plasma/serum in the deep freezer and document in the deep freezer logbook.
• Segregate the samples at the end of the study or as per the protocol requirement.
• Transfer the samples as and when required by the client or to analytical lab and fill up the shipment form and also record in the deep freezer logbook.
• To follow the laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, processing and maintaining records of the same
• To identify problems that may adversely affect sample processing or performance of instruments and either must correct the problems or immediately notify.
• Maintain the temperature record of the deep freezer.
• Labeling the vacutainers and RIA vials.
• Management of bio waste disposal
• Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
• Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company.

Educational Qualification: DMLT

Technical/functional Skills:

Should have the ability to perform basic procedures like blood sample collection and processing.

Experience: 0-3 year
