Job Summary
Exp: Minimum of 6yrs to a Max. of 10+yrsExp
It would be Remote currently till the Pandemic ends after which you have to work from any of the 3 client locations mentioned above.
Job Description:
As an Android engineer on the Point of Sale team, you will be responsible for building applications that define the vast majority of the user experience on our POS devices.
These are the applications that the merchants spend most of their time on.
Apps that deal with Order taking and Order management, Dining, Inventory management, and Employee management.
In addition, you will be responsible for building APIs that enhance our Android SDK, allowing our 3rd party developers to build custom applications and enhance the merchant experience.
As an Android Engineer, you can look forward to:
Partnering with Product Managers and UX designers, in defining requirements for UX design.
Collaborating with QA to help develop test plans and new features.
Working with other engineers to design new features and reviewing code.
Participating in design and code reviews with your peers.
Making existing applications more robust by fixing bugs.
Partnering with our support team to analyze and fix bugs reported from the field.
Participating in an on-call rotation to handle any customer escalations.
Writing tests and automation to advance maturity in product testing.
Developing native mobile applications for Android.
Work with senior management to define and implement technical processes and procedures within department focusing on client satisfaction and efficiency
Communicating within your functional team and across Engineering to keep information flowing
Being a team player, ability to collaborate idea sharing in a strong product setting.
Ability to work under pressure to conform to external standards and meet strict deadlines.
Working in an agile environment, participating in planning and Scrumban boards.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree required, degreed in computer Science or related STEM related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in Java Development
3+ years of experience in Android application and framework development.
Strong knowledge of database concepts and SQL.
UI development, optimal performance, adaptation to various screen sizes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Kotlin Programming.
Experience working on server side development, building REST endpoints.
Experience with server technologies, REST web services, SOA
. Exposure to POS Hardware and/or Payment Software.
Note:
(i) Our client is looking at Immediate (or) Early Joiners.
(ii) Candidates from Banglore, Chennai & Pune preferred.
