Job Summary
Qualification : B.E./ B.Tech with minimum 5 to 8 years of experience
- Shall work as a part of the project management team, reporting to the Project Manager/Incharge.
- Shall be responsible for all aspects of the project relating to building services.
- Shall ensure that the day to day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the report.
- Shall have to review plans and specification according to approval plan.
- Shall have to manage to oversee the work of subordinate staff contactor, architects or engineer.
- Shall have to prepare plans, details, specified and cost estimated of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system.
- Shall have to analyze mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering problem and formulate solutions.
- Shall have to identify problems in design, plan if any and repair in same to the Project Manager.
- Shall continually review the contractors construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to MEP services and report to the project director on the same.
- Shall manage the day to day work of the MEP team.
- Shall undertake general project site observation/inspection of the mechanical services works for contractors adherence to the approved drawing and consultants specification, good working practices, and construction schedule.
- Shall monitor and promote health and safety on the site. Record and report any breaches to the project manager. If required stop the construction works if unsafe practices are being followed and report the same to Project Manager.
- Shall attend project, site progress and any mechanical services related technical meeting as directed by the Project Manager.
- Shall facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between MEP subcontractors during construction.
- Shall validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions.
- Shall direct, monitor and control the activities of MEP contractors such as HVAC, ELV, Electrical power and lighting fire fighting services plumbing.
- Shall be responsible for coordination and administration of MEP related materials, systems and shop drawings submittals.
- Shall ensure that MEP contractors adhere to project safety regulations.
- Shall assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP equipment.
- Shall manage day to day work with the MEP team.
- Shall witness mechanical system final testing and commissioning.
- Shall attend project, site progress and any mechanical services related technical meeting as directed by the Project Manager.
- Shall attend the Project Managers internal meetings.
- Shall set up meetings to resolve specific site problems as required to minimize program delays.
- Shall monitor quality of the contractors construction installations.
- Shall ensure that daily progress reports are produced with regards to MEP works.
- Shall maintain a site diary.
