Chief Engineer Job in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth

The candidate shall be responsible for:

• Overall Planning, Construction and Maintenance of all infrastructural facilities.
• Preparing the tender document including its technicalities and proper contractual documents of approved vendors before the work order or purchase order.
• Formulating, implement, review and continuously update the policies and procedures related to all the operations of the civil and maintenance department.
• Training and development of manpower and their annual appraisal.
• Maintenance work of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, civil, cooling system, water,sanitation, STP, welding and other External Agencys work.
• Overall water supply inside the campus.
• Supervising and handling of manpower.
• Record keeping of the department including attendance of workers and their payment.
• Planning and execution of projects.
• Conduct audits and shall be involved in quality enhancement practices.
• Registration of Contractors and laborers.
• Appointment and taking disciplinary action for related persons.
• Estimating expenditure on staff salaries and allowance, maintenance contracts, training, purchase of equipment, materials, tools, instrument and furniture.
• Drafting, finalizing and implementing maintenance schedule through system of complaint registers and work orders.
• Processing of bills of all engineering and maintenance work include bills for water, electricity, fuels etc.

Duties:

• Shall be available on on-call basis during off hours for emergency situations.
• Must be highly safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment throughout the campus.
• To work as Member secretary for Building & works committee, maintenance & housekeeping committee, water supply, hygiene and sanitation, and environment and gardens committee.
