Cad Designer -highway Job in Stantec

Your Key Responsibilities Produce and review design solutions from outline briefs, correctly interpret data and effectively communicate to others. Check design and assessment calculations and review detailed drawings. Work on multiple projects concurrently with limited supervision. Ensure delivery of project in accordance with quality, timescales, and budget. Produce designs, calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solution. Plan, program, co-ordinate and write reports for specific projects. Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required. Supporting Senior Engineers in the analysis, design and calculations related to design of different highway components. Maintain records of all design calculations/drawings/documents. Title: CAD Designer -Highway Qualifications: Your Capabilities and Credentials 5 to 8 years professional experience in the consulting and engineering industry after graduate education, technical knowledge in road design in Civil3D and/or OpenRoads and/or 12D. Infraworks/Navisworks experience is a plus. Good knowledge of all aspects of technical standards such as AASHTO, Austroads and/or DMRB, UK. Ability to take directions from senior engineers and execute them efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite Effective communicator and able to work under tight schedule. Competent level of client service management, i.e.: able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships with our clients. Strong organizational and problem resolutions skills. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialists. Travel & other job demands. Education and Experience A Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Master s degree in Highway/Transportation Engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience in design and documentation of road/highway/land development projects. Experience on international projects is a must. Software Skills: a. AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Open Roads and/or 12D and/or InRoads. b. Infraworks/Navisworks experience is a plus. Knowledge of International Roadway Design Guides (AASHTO, DMRB, Austroads or similar).
