System Admin (linux) Job in Spectramedix

As a System Administrator (Linux), you will support our core applications in Azure Cloud and work together with our development team to evaluate the latest technologies. You will oversee our Linux platform and deliver on projects, to help improve digital capabilities.

• Providing technical and diagnostic support for all on-site and cloud hosted hardware/software.
  
• Maintaining overall ownership of user s issue & service ensuring resolution within agreed service levels.
  
• Install, Configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
  
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
  

Requirements

• Computer Sciences degree or equivalent experience
  
• Experience in any Cloud and/or AZURE or AWS or GCP (Cloud certification is a plus).
  
• Hands on - Experience with Linux is must on virtualized servers(Linux Virtualization / VMWare / Hyper-V)
  
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux and/or Windows-based environments. Experience Ubuntu/Debian Linux is a plus.
  
• Experience managing and maintaining Backup Services.
  
• Experience with monitoring systems (SolarWinds or any other tools)
  
• Experience scripting skills (Bash shell, Windows PowerShell, Perl, Python)
  
• Experience with automation software is a plus (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  
• Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  
• Open/Acknowledge/Maintain/Update status on open incidents, tasks, change requests.
  
• Maintains system compliance with information security policies Working Experience in a controlled environment is a Plus.
  
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
  
• Operational and hands-on, with a willingness to share your experience and knowledge with your colleagues.
  
• Develops processes for improving operational efficiencies, as well as identifies/implements automation tools for existing manual processes.
  
• Prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of network design and operational requirements.
  
  

• Must be flexible and able to work on a schedule other than India daytime.
  
• Must be available for off-hour support on a regular rotation schedule.
