The Role

The Associate Data Science Manager will fuel the growth of the company by working with three sets of key stakeholders: client teams, Socoros analytics team, and product team to deliver analytics consulting services and analytics product development, that have a high-client impact.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • This role will work directly with Analytics Portfolio Lead to support on consulting engagements and on product development, with revenue responsibility.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders to help them make smart decisions by analyzing data collected through Sorocos proprietary deep-learning Scout Platform.
  • Work in the areas of improving revenue, customer experience and operational efficiency for clients, by identifying opportunities in people, process and technology transformation.
  • Play a consultant role to define the scope of the engagement.
  • Lead the project delivery managing day-to-day delivery independently along with a team of business analysts guiding them through the process.
  • Identify new use cases and define analysis methodologies based on research and learning from client engagements.
  • Play product owner role and spearhead development of new product features, by coordinating with product & engineering team.
  • Encourage innovations in project delivery functions to enhance the productivity of Soroco team

The Candidate

The ideal Associate Data Science Manager will be able to solve complex unstructured problems using data-driven analysis, by leading a team of analysts, and have a deep commitment to increase Sorocos revenue by providing value-added solutions to the client.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • MBA from tier-1 institutes with 3+ years of experience in analytics or consulting industry.
  • Candidates with a degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics etc.) with 5+ years of experience in analytics or consulting industry may also be considered.
  • Proven success in managing the delivery of complex analytics or consulting projects.
  • Have a consulting orientation with the ability to gather different perspectives, examples and use them to enrich day-to-day work.
  • Systematic problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet
  • Excellent story-telling skills to communicate complex ideas and solutions effectively to clients.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics platforms (Tableau/Power BI/Qlik)
  • Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.

Bonus Skills:

  • Comfortable with SQL/R/Python and experience working on databases and large data sets.
  • Experience with agile project management
