Job Description
Position: Junior Engineer/Engineer - Molding Shop

Qualification: Diploma Plastic Engineering

Experience: 4~7 years

Reporting: Head- Engineering

Skills:

Sound knowledge of Injection/Blow molding process, molding machines, various types of plastic polymers and their application. Knowledge of assembly process.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Overall supervision of molding shop.
  • Reviews production schedules and work orders and assigns duties to workers according to production schedules.
  • Hands on experience of injection molding process, molding machine set up, operation and trouble shooting.
  • Knowledge of different plastic polymers, their application/usage.
  • Ability to identify product defects and adjust molding parameters to eliminate flaws, maintain quality and maximise product output as per defined targets.
  • Knowledge of molding tools/dies, their upkeep and preventive maintenance. Coordinate with maintenance team/suppliers regarding maintenance and repair of tooling and equipments.
  • Ensure good 5S, cleanliness and safe working environment in molding shop.
  • Responsible for leading APQP/NPD process along with PPAP documents.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, providing input and feedback in a helpful manner
  • Responsible for on time sample preparation in line with customer and collaborator requirements.
  • Responsible for compliance of IATF /EHS procedures in the molding shop.
  • Responsible for customer Audits & events during initial product development.
  • Responsible of New product tooling trials during at initial stage & corrective action (if required)

Desirable skills

  • A good command on injection molding process, process controls, quality controls.
  • Knowledge of Servo based CNC injection molding machines. (Programming, machining parameters optimisation and troubleshooting).
  • Knowledge of cycle time study, time and motion study, man-machine balancing.
  • Candidate must have good analytical skills.
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate good presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS office is necessary.
  • Sound knowledge of GD&T
  • Sound knowledge of IATF/ EMS.



Salary : Rs 3,50,000 - 4,50,000 P.A.
