Position Overview

The Data Management-IT group is responsible for providing data products to different product lines . We are looking for strong technology professional with exceptional analytical skills to be part of a talented soware development team in Mumbai. The selected candidate will have a unique opportunity to design, build and maintain state of the art data management solutions for the world's leading provider of investment decision support tools to investment community across the globe.

Scope of Responsibility

We are looking for a bright and dynamic engineer, motivated and able to work independently as well as work in partnership with IT and Business teams spread across the globe. The candidate needs to be an exceptionally strong core Java programmer.

The candidate should have strong experience in working with Metadata Catalog technologies

Build and Maintain Scalable, distributed, fault tolerant system

Actively participate in meetings with various stakeholders

Understand market data processing and transformation needs, build algorithms to acquire, normalize, transform and release large volumes of data

Build, Use and Maintain software testing frameworks (unit/non-regression/user acceptance)

Take up complete ownership of solutions and assigned tasks

Work in a collaborative manner with other team members

Have business acumen to understand financial concepts around the reference data related equities and other asset classes

Specific Knowledge/Skills

At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Java object-oriented design and development

Experience in building multithreaded object oriented and scalable enterprise applications

Knowledge of Spring, JMS and the major java technologies

Should have in depth knowledge of Java internals, data structures, java memory model, garbage collection

Experience with JDBC, SQL performance tuning and stored procedures on any relational database

Unix experience would be highly desired

Familiarity with RESTful APIs

Familiarity with Cloud (Azure /AWS) technologies

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or any other stream with first class OR Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
