Senior Business Analyst Data Engineering (Big Data)

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst Data Engineering (Big Data) who will support product development and project delivery for our client or internal organization. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Overall 7+ years of total work experience in relevant 4+ years of hands on experience in building data pipeline
• As a Developer the candidate must have sound knowledge in Apache Spark and Python programming.
• Deep experience in developing data processing tasks using PySpark such as reading data from external sources, merge data, perform data enrichment and load in to target data destinations.
• Good Knowledge on HDFS operations, like put, get,delete using PySpark
• Good knowledge on HIVE, like creating internal and external tables, data ingestion and creating partition tables using Pyspark.
• Good knowledge on HBASE, (added advantage MangoDB and Cassendra).
• Good knowledge in PySpark Best Practices, Troubleshooting and Performance tuning. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions, design patterns, and code for medium/complex applications deployed in Hadoop Eco System.
• Experience in deployment and operationalizing the code is added advantage
• Proficient at Python Spark and the Hadoop ecosystem
• Experience in query optimization, performance tuning of the complex SQL queries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams Practice and enforce Agile and Scrum development methodologies
• Experience manipulating and summarizing large quantities of data
• Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion
• Self-starter motivated and good communication skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good Presentation & Communication skills
• Flexible to travel for long durations if needed and work in US hours

Education: Bachelor or Masters or Ph.D. Computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related disciplines
