Responsibilities Study fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers. Decide on a theme for a collection. Select fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each garment. Analyzing the fashion market trends. Designing samples for Men s Formal & Casual. Coordinating with the production department. Present design ideas to the creative director or showcase them in fashion or trade shows. Oversee the final production of their designs. Decide on a theme for a collection. Identify target markets for designs, looking at factors such as age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Supervising performance of assistant and trainee fashion designers and guiding them through the latest fashion trends in the industry. Working on reports indicating fashion trends and designs for the next financial year. Technical skills in areas such as pattern cutting, grading and garment construction. Developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations. Sound knowledge of design and manufacturing process. Proven ability to manage and guide teams of budding designers. Rich experience of administering production teams. Diverse experience of 4 years in conceptualizing, designing, and managing various collections of clothing and accessories. Being involved in every phase of production process right from planning, through developing designs and production management. Designing clothing and accessories for three collections (Summer, winter & Autumn) every year and displaying them.
