Job Title: Asst. Manager/Dy. Manager Operational Risk Management

Location: Gachibowli H.O (SLIC) -Hyderabad

Position Summary: This person will be responsible for the administration and pre-issuance verification of the proposals and policies.

Key deliverables: The person will be responsible for delivering:

Job Profile:

  • Conduct periodic pre-issuance and post-issuance verification of proposals and policies by analyzing data including historic new business and claims data of the company.
  • Regularly analyze adverse trends by spooling the new business data supported with the claims data and accordingly identify the suspected salesperson and then do physical verification the identified cases to ascertain the root cause.
  • Monitor MIS in terms of adverse trends and accordingly investigate and recommend remedial actions to the Legal/Complaince team.
  • Innovation of new techniques and developing identifying techniques to detect frauds.
  • Submit periodic trend analysis of the Investigations to the senior management.
  • Responsible for Scrutiny of new business proposals and indentifying any applicable adverse trends.
  • Liaison with New business team, underwriters for data support .
  • Ensure timely circulation of investigation MIS.
  • Be able to contribute to the Risk strategy and its implementation & monitoring at regular intervals. Hence be able to contribute and participate in the audits by IRDA, reinsurers, SLIC and internal audits
  • To contribute in the training of relevant staff and any other internal stakeholder if required.
  • Reporting structure: This person will report to the Head Claims.

    Personal Profile:

    Qualification and experience: Graduate & preferably a licentiate of III, with at least 6-8 years of work experience in an Investigations, Fraud, Compliance or Risk. Pursing any other life insurance qualifications would be preferential.

    Key functional competency: Knowledge of basic life insurance essential.
