Roles and Responsibilities

1- Establishing Estimate department in India for Multiproject Ltd:

- Setting up appropriate procedures, KPIs, templates and reporting procedures

- We are looking to move all estimating operations to India from UK.

- The candidate would be welcomed to bring on board an assistant if they have one in mind or we would recruit one

- Gradually would be managing a team of 3-4 estimators and assistants in India

2- Basic Estimator Duties :

- Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements

- Prepare construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs in accordance with NRM2 methodology.

- Evaluate offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.

- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.

- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.

- Actively develop and streamline estimating operations and procedures

Work Environment :

- Initially, work would be done from home but will consider hiring an office once the pandemic is over

- Work will be carried out through remote desktop connected to our offices in the UK

- Work will be carried out during Indian working hours,

- The candidate will be employed directly by the company

- The candidate will be reporting to Director but will be responsible for management of work within their department

Desired Candidate Profile

- Minimum 8 Years of Experience as QS/ Estimator, Of which minimum 2 years as Estimator

- Minimum 3 years in Senior role

- Good command over English ( Spoken and Written )

- Candidates with experience with UK Companies or UK projects are preferred

- Alternatively, experience with Middle east Countries would be an added advantage to the profile

- Welcoming candidates with Knowledge of NRM2 or SMM7

- Hands on experience on estimating softwares will be beneficial
