What is the role
The VP TAO will be accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.
This role is intended to support the Asset s PTM journey by providing technical expertise in the Wells and Production System remote monitoring area.
What we need from you

Carry out surveillance of Wells using tools like EBS tools like Asset Sentinel, EBS, PI, PTM Toolkit, etc. for Proactive Technical Monitoring.

Responsible for frontline wells and production systems monitoring via rule-based algorithm tools or manual monitoring.

Support in developing and deploying sub-surface surveillance analytics

Work with specialist for defining, implementing and improving standard work for the Proactive Technical Monitoring Process.

Support team with engineering analysis, recommendation and troubleshooting of identified anomalies.

Share and promote lessons learned opportunities that enhances monitoring for value.

Support the specialist & Engineers in meeting stakeholder s expectation with respect to the deliverables and KPIs in PTM.

Network with counterparts and other levels of organization across the different operating units, data centers and develop external networks outside of TAO and Shell.

This role is expected to provide technical specialization support to PTM team for supporting Wells and Production systems related disciplines in Integrated Gas to improve reliability by preventing unscheduled deferment through remote monitoring.

Support assets in achieving their KPIs through monitoring help in improving process efficiency, reliability, health of equipment and over all process.
Key Experiences and Qualifications:
-
University Degree in Petroleum/Chemical Engineering/Production Engineering.

Overall working experience of 2 to 5 years in drilling/ production operation/ in Oil & Gas, Upstream operations experience in Oil & Gas/unconventional fields is mandatory.

Experience in remote monitoring of Wells/subsea/sub-surface facilities is preferable.

Experience in Asset performance management tools is preferable.
