Application Software Engineer Focus Digital Maps (c++, Python)

This is a remote position.
Currently we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support us in developing
applications for digital maps with special focus on map matching. We are working in small, self-
organized teams and use agile software development practices (sprints, daily stand-up and
retro perspective meetings).
Responsibilities/Tasks:
Understand requirements and identify corresponding tasks, participate in planning sessions
Analyze software components/algorithms regarding robustness (edge cases) and scalability
(memory, CPU)
Improve/Optimize software components based on techno. analysis
Create/automate tests and build (visual) debug tools to facilitate the analysis and enable
others to reproduce results and to verify bugfixes
Come up with ideas of how to improve software design and implementation details (also by
reviewing Git pull requests)
Skills/Experience:
- Experience 5+ Years.
Languages: C++ 14 or higher (Python, JavaScript are ) with modern
CMake (version 3+)
Python and JavaScript are Essential.
Usage and understanding of (Computational Geometry) Algorithms
Creation and analysis of software with multithreading/concurrency
Dev Tools: Bash, Git, Docker
Willing to learn new skills on demand
