Web Developer and Designer Job Responsibilities

The role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications. Strive to create visually appealing websites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

  • Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's
  • Website development by using HTML/ DHTML/PHP/WORDPRESS (Static/Dynamic)
  • Maintaining databases backup of WordPress websites using phpmyadmin
  • Emailer / Flyers Designing as per requirement. Using Photoshop / CorelDraw
  • Keeping track of domain renewal whenever bill comes
  • Maintain communication with website host troubleshooting issues in functionality
  • Maintain correct and current information on website
  • The position requires constant communication with colleagues
  • Meeting with clients to discuss requirements and/or project progress

Web Developer Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or college diploma in computer science, web development or a related area and 3-5 years of job-related experience
  • Working experience developing websites - Fluency in HTML-5, JavaScript , PHP, CSS3, Joomla, JQuery
  • Good knowledge of E-Commerce, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Multimedia Content Development
  • Other Skills: Teamwork, Verbal Communication
  • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
