PIPING STRESS Engineer - ENGINEERING

As a member of the Engineering team (one of the divisions in SEDIN), you will be responsible for the Product design and development applications. You will be working with other engineers and developers on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Where you ll do it: This role is hybrid (based out of Chennai & Bangalore, India)

An initial screening of the resume leads to a 4-stage interview process lasting atleast a week: 15-minute HR chat 30-minute Technical Round (sometimes paired with a short take-home exercise )30-minute call with the Operations Head to discuss the position & fit 1 -hour final interview with the CEO/CFO to assess a culture fit

Reporting to: Srini, Head of Engineering services.

What You'll do?

You will translate functional requirements into technical requirements

You wil design and build high-performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code with best practices

You will be responsible for providing hands on expert level guidance to junior developers for technical issues

You will ensure the best possible quality of the application.

You will take ownership of project work and developing client relationships

You will Identify bugs and align with requirements during debugging

You will Explore new updates from every release and critical updates in project applications.

You will Perform code reviews and ensure the quality of the deliverables.

You will Perform POC on new concepts.

What You will bring?

You have good Communication & client facing skills

You have minimum 8 years of experience in Piping Stress Engineer Profile [Certificate will be validated]

You have minimum 5 years of experience in Stress Analysis [Certificate will be validated]

You have worked on multiple Client facing projects

You have good experience in Stress analysis , Caesar ii.

You are Flexible to work remotely and if required from office [Chennai/Bangalore] based on the project needs.

Skills & Qualifications:

Responsible for the quality, budget, and respect of project schedule for piping stress analysis tasks

Reviews the Client s technical documentation and requirements.

Responsible for the design of all piping supports components.

Issues project piping stress specification and critical lines list

Performs calculations of critical piping networks

Issues loads to allow the design of pipe-rack and foundations.

Trunnion calculations, Nozzle load evaluations, flange leaked calculations, Spring selection etc..

Issues technical part of requisitions for all piping supports components required by stress analysis calls for tender.

Issues technical bid evaluation for all piping supports components offers

Issues technical part of requisitions for all piping supports components purchase orders.

Reviews and approve vendors documents.

Performs the inter-disciplines checking for the part of documents in accordance with the scope of piping material section.

Checks sub-contracted discipline engineering documents in accordance with the scope of piping stress section.

Checks the isometrics for construction of critical lines issued by the draftsman.

Flexibility review for non-critical lines.

Assists P&ID section preparation for stress inputs of line list.

Issues the part of the REX (feedback report) in accordance with the scope of piping stress section after contract completion.

Should report any foreseen technical or financial or delay risk to the Project Piping team without fail.
