Development Architect / Expert / ABAP Platform and tools

ROLE
SAP Technology ABAP Platform drives innovation from the heart of SAP. We are currently looking to hire an experienced architect for our technology team located at Bangalore, India. You can look forward to contributing to the design and architecture of the software components written in Java/ABAP/JavaScript that runs in the cloud, on premise, or both.
As a Development Architect/Expert for the Scrum teams, you will be responsible for:
Drive technical design discussions and own all design artefacts for the team. Guide the team to arrive at an optimal design.
Strive for architectural and coding best practices,thorough code review sessions to improve code quality and communicateall architectural concepts and guidelines to the development team.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers on coding best practices and strive to follow TDD and Pair Programming.
Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently together with the developers.
Be the technical focal point for the team in various internal and external forumsandrepresent team during customer and partner workshops on need basis.
Driving design, development and testing of usable software in tight collaboration with the Product Owner and the team.

EXPERIENCE
10-14 years of experience in software development
Proven experience as a software architect/product expert
Experience in software development and coding in various languages (OO ABAP, Java, HTML5, JavaScript etc.)
Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
Familiarity with Eclipse plugin development and UI/UX design is an added advantage
A technical mindset with great attention to detail
