Duties of Position:

? Lead, develop, and manage a team of Mechanical engineers performing Product Development activities for multiple
domains like medical, industrial, commercial, IT products etc.
? Ensures all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's
established quality process, policies and objectives.
? Perform the engineering activities for the New product development, quality improvement projects, cost reduction
projects, and manufacturing issue resolutions.
? Accountable for the quality of deliverables and facilitating the learning from problem reports
? Report during the project, quality, and PR reviews, coordinate design reviews, etc.
? The primary interface to Product and Program management for priorities and schedules
? Excellent Customer Interaction skill for technical discussions
? Ability to quote Mechanical Labor for small and large programs
? Involve in Recruitment
? Effective and productive cross-functional team interaction
? Timesheet Management of the Team
? Assist in the supplier evaluation process
? Conduct periodic training for team members

Qualifications Required:

? Minimum 15 to 18 years of experience in New product development, Design engineering, and Technical project
management
? Bachelor/Masters in Mechanical engineering.
? Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem-solving in the absence of complete or accurate data
? Exposure to work on the global environment, the ability to communicate on different levels with good presentation
skills
? Experience in working with cross-disciplinary teams (Electrical engineering, Test engineering, system engineering,
Product Safety, Global Product Support, manufacturing engineers, Product Management) for major projects
? Strong understanding of injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, precision machining, etc...
? Excellent command on, skills like Reliability measures, DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), Risk Analysis, DFMEA, DFM,
GD & T, Tolerance Stack-up Analysis etc.
? Knowledge in value engineering and value analysis (VAVE), DFx and cost reduction techniques and analysis
? Working knowledge of CAD, FEA and CFD Tools like ProE / SolidWorks / Ansys workbench / Ansys Icepak will be
added advantage
? Past work experience in Electronics manufacturing service (EMS) industry
? Process knowledge of ISO 13485 / AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
? Knowledge in compliance quality and safety standards (IEC 60601-1, UL, CE, etc...)
? Supplier management - Rapid prototyping, soft and hard tooling
? Familiarity with the Agile PLM
? Familiarity with the Planview
? Excellent Leadership skill
? Excellent Verbal communication skill
? Business oriented
? Active and dynamic Team Player
