Job Summary
  • Punctuality in reaching ward in time. Taking beside charge of all patients. Document handover and takeover of patients.
  • To follow assigned responsibilities given by nursing incharge.
  • Carry out nursing assessment of each patient and maintaining records of assessment.
  • Take care of all patients based on orders given by clinicians / RMO s )collection of specimens investigations and medications etc.)
  • Assist and report clinicians during their rounds in ward or in case of any abnormal observation related to patient s health status.
  • Maintain personal hygiene of patients.
  • Maintain self hygiene and follow hand hygiene and good nursing practices.
  • Assist in admission and discharge of patients.
  • Maintaining good inter personal relation with patients and their families with good behavioral practices.
  • Maintain good housekeeping with the help of housekeeping staff (mama /mavshi) in the ward.
  • Follow Bio Medical waste disposal practices.
  • Carry out good communication with clinicians, RMOs and patients.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of medicines and disposable in the ward as defined update stock records and take actions where required.
  • Checking of all equipments in the ward and keeping them in order with the help of maintenance department.
  • Follow breakdown maintenance SOP
  • Maintain records of stocks of medicines and disposable in the ward including emergency drugs and crash cart material.
  • Create safe environment in the hospital to prevent accidents and falls.
  • Communication critical condition of patient to concerned clinician promptly. Maintain record of communication made.
  • Records and reports nursing care, treatment, medicine correctly and promptly.
  • Reports and records any losses and breakage in the unit.
  • Gives orientation to patients and relatives about physical facilities, plocy rules and regulations of the hospital.
  • Participate in pre and post conference.
  • Follow hand hygiene practices.
  • Map data required for quality improvement analyses and report.
  • Follow nursing procedures as given in nursing procedure manual and follow nursing and service standards for other activities related to nursing.
  • Maintain patient s medical records related to nursing timely and regularly.

Qualification :
GNM/B.Sc Nursing
Experience Required :

Minimum 4 Years
