Responsibilities

• Management and technical guidance of software design and development for cutting-edge SASE hybrid cloud products
• Playing an active, hands-on role in getting the latest next-generation innovations solidly in the hands of customers
• Working with product management in a collaborative fashion to ensure that your team delivers on the highest business priorities in an optimal fashion
• Working with other Palo Alto team and sites to ensure that the best technical solutions are developed as effectively as possible
• Collaboration with technical and cross-functional peers to foster excellence in productivity, innovation and quality
• Driving continuous improvement in product quality, process efficiency and product innovation while ensuring your team remains engaged and fulfilled

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing software development teams (with direct authority over development staff)
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience in IP Networking on Linux
• Experience in managing the entire software development lifecycle and a track record of software delivery on time
• Proven ability to work effectively within fast-paced, accountable product delivery teams
• Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated organizational development and personnel management skills
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and delivery incrementally to the right direction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar discipline; a master s degree is preferred

Good to have:

• Linux kernel programming, Embedded.
• Experience in Linux kernel networking stack development
• Experience in DPDK development
• Experience with multi-threaded distributed system development on Linux
• Author or RFCs or multiple patents would be added preference
