Consultant, Product Management :: Archer

The Consultant, Product Manager is responsible for cross-functional management of a product portfolio through its entire life cycle to achieve P&L goals. This role uses technical and industry experience to formulate product strategies, work across functional areas to implement product strategies, and analyze markets to determine opportunities. This product manager ensures offerings are defined to maximize profitability, evaluates, and adjusts product strategies to respond to competition.

Key responsibilities

• Apply broad knowledge of company s product capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product opportunities.
• Evaluate in-depth market analysis and lead business case for optimization of existing products alternatives and /or to create the next generation of new products.
• Manage product portfolio roadmap and works to scope opportunities and obtain appropriate funding for new programs.
• Collaborate with other Product Managers, UX Designers, R&D Leaders and BU Leaders to align product strategies and drive successful execution against the product roadmap, GTM strategy and operating priorities.
• Work with Product Marketing to build product marketing plans and drive them through the organization.
• Works across all functional areas, gathering inputs, updating product plans and roadmaps, and communicating the impact of product / solution decisions to all stakeholders.
• Reviews product evaluation metrics from multiple sources and ensures they are incorporated in future versions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of business goals and objectives combined with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Good financial skills including business case development, cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Experience in collaborating with customers to help define future product design/functionality and the product roadmap.
• Strong project management skills.
• Proven ability managing cross-functional and multi-national teams.
• Experience in Agile development methodology.

Education & Experience

• 8+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS and/or Enterprise software development.
• Driving User Experience and/or Technology transformation projects.
• Experience in customer-facing roles including professional services or sales engineering is a plus.
• Bachelor s degree (technical) or equivalent; MBA a plus.
