Sr. Database Administrator Job in Rs Consultants

Responsibilities: Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user s specialised role Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required Candidate Requirements: Experience with data modelling for both operational and analytical datastores Experience with Windows Server environments and Microsoft SQL Server database technologies Good experience in configuring and using SQL Server Always on Availability Experience with DevOps, SSRS, SSIS, SSMA and Redgate SQL tools Experience with data lake concepts and strong understanding of data design patterns culminating into microservices development Experience in developing Data Pipelines to support near-real-time and event-driven messaging and data processing Experience in handling in memory and high-volume data processing through concurrency and multithreading techniques to build scalable, performant and resilient applications Knowledge of building on the Public Cloud (preferably Azure or GCP) Familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL and Redis Familiarity with modern opensource ETL/ELT and orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory or Airflow Skills & Qualifications Proven five or more years of working experience as a Database Administrator Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL Expertise in database design, documentation, and coding Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools Familiarity with programming languages API Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically Bachelor s degree in a computer discipline and relevant certification for database management
