JOB TITLE

Hotel General Manager atAlexander HeritageResort, Matheran - the current running prime property of Roopshri ResortsLimited, which is the Hospitality wing of a diversified business group (AryamanFinancial Services Limited, Aryaman Capital Markets Limited, Escorp AssetManagement Limited and Roopshri Resorts Limited) who will be at the head ofmanaging and running the property towards increased profitability and servicestandards.

Reports to:

Managing directors /Owners of the business house.

Job Overview:

The role of the onsite General Manager, who will be in syncwith the directors regarding all day to day activities of Alexander HeritageResort, Matheran right from running and managing the hotel and ensuring highestquality level in terms of service and customer experience to generating revenuefor the hotel.

Responsibilities andduties:

1. To take full control of each aspect of running the Hotel(located in Matheran Hill station- 100kms from the city - a heritage hotelspread over 4 acres - hence being the largest commercial property in Matheran). Right from managing and hiring staff and daily affairs on site to ensuringhighest level of customer service and experience to maintaining the currentproperty to heading marketing and sales and getting bookings for the hotel toredoing the place in sync with various vendors to liasoning with governmentauthorities for the same with the aim to make it the best selling property inMatheran.

2. To conduct all necessary ground and research workrequired to make the above happen.

3. Tobe in control and manage everything and anything that happens at the Propertywith basic maxim that, If it is happening in the Hotel, he should know about it.

4. To stay in touch with market developments in thehospitality industry (locally and nationally and internationally) and to findnew opportunities for the hotel to excel.

5. To plan and organise accommodation, catering and otherhospitality services. (With keen and initiative based interest in cuttingcorners where possible to ideating on providing the best of service in theregion)

6. To address theproblems occurring and troubleshoot them according to the situation with aproblem solving, smiling and winning attitude.

7. To carefullymanage the budgets and the financial plans in constant sync with the directors.

8. To have a control over the junior staff reporting to youand to report every aspect on a timely basis to the directors.

9. To oversee and ensure timely completion of the tasks ofthe junior staff and to ensure if the overall goal of the Hotel is achieved.

10. To understand the full vision of what the job entailsand once clear, to start taking initiative and coming up with creative ideas toachieve the desired goals.

11. To have the focus and discipline to work hard at a giventask and achieve the desired results.

12. To oversee the renovation and restoration work to beinitiated shortly in order to make it a state of the art property - a one ofits kind in Matheran.

Education Qualification:

Bachelors degree in Hotel Management or a diploma in HotelManagement.

This job position is open for both Hotel management studentswith 1-2 years experience and a fresher, preferably a male candidate as hewould be required to stay there and run the operations of the Hotel.

The candidate must be ready to join immediately.
