Job Description Summary:

Uses product knowledge and insight to design and execute exploratory testing
Validates multiple software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products
Develops, modifies, and executes complete test plans based on design specifications.
Observes and records defects in software products using systematic tests to apply and maintain quality standards for company products
Works closely with development teams to improve product quality and development methodologies related to quality engineering
Can prove coverage analysis and proactively adjust testing to improve test coverage
Applies knowledge and application of best practices in achievement of QA goals
Can communicate within a team environment, consulting with development engineers in resolution of complex problems.
Ensures quality integration into all aspects of software development, data acquisition, and processing.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal professionally and collaboratively with all levels of the organization and across geographies

  • 2-4 years of experience working on software quality environments
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise product architecture, Client-Server communication and Networking.
  • Experience in Web application automation using Python-Selenium programming & Debugging
  • Understanding of the Python programming and debugging
  • Experience with Test Automation Frameworks like Protractor, Bats etc.
  • Hands-On knowledge of AIX / Linux Operating systems.
  • Experience in REST API testing.
  • Experience in setting up deployments with knowledge of Dockers and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Enterprise product architecture, Client-Server communication and Networking.
  • Experience in Regression, Functional, Usability, Performance testing.
  • Skilled in analytical and system level debugging of enterprise software
  • Working with test management systems, bug tracking systems (Jira)
  • Demonstrated competence in automation using scripting or other languages
  • The ability to review and understand/interpret product code and logs
  • Experience with the Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet strict deadlines, and coordinate and participate in multiple assignments
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge on Public Cloud Platforms like Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Systems, Networks and Storage environments.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL DB (IBM Cloudant / MongoDB)

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with IBM Power systems is a plus
  • Experience using Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins (or similar)
  • Exposure to languages like Python / Java.
  • Exposure to frameworks like NodeJS, AngularJS, Typescript, etc.
  • Exposure to tools and concepts like Elasticsearch, Logstash, Filebeat, Grafana / Kibana, Karma, etc.
