Sql Developer Job in Remunance

The SQL will be responsible for the design, and development of multiple MS SQL databases, ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. Your primary focus will be working with other database and application developers to assist with development, maintenance and performance tuning efforts. Collaborate with the development team to establish best practices, develop and optimize SQL statements, as necessary. Efficiently resolve database usage issues, provide solutions and advice to prevent such problems in the future. You must be an active listener and an excellent communicator with a point of view and the experience to back it up. You report to the Director of database administration.

JOB REQUIREMENT :

• BA or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred.
• 2 -3 SQL Development and Management with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• 2-3 Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments.
• Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques.

• Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Technical documentation skills.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Strong proficiency with MS SQL Server and its variation among popular databases.
• Strong proficiency with database design, including normalization, stored procedures, triggers, primary and foreign keys, and optimizing stored procedure, indexes, tables, views and trigger code for production applications.
• Experience with MS SQL Server Reporting services.
• Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.

• Ability to break down project requirements from high level specifications.
• Capable of troubleshooting common database issues.
• Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Subversion.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously and engage in problem solving on these projects.
• Good written and oral communication skills (English).
• Experience with Elastic (ELK) products a plus.
