About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality learning programs aimed at blue-collar skilling. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in curriculum design, instructional design, and content development within the e-learning or ed-tech sector. A deep understanding of the Indian blue-collar workforce, coupled with technical proficiency in creating engaging educational content, is essential for this role. As part of a fast-growing tech startup, you will play a key role in delivering impactful training programs that contribute to workforce development and social change at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Design & Development: Lead the design of comprehensive and learner-centred curricula, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create high-quality learning resources tailored to the needs of blue-collar workers.
  • Content Creation & Review: Oversee the development of content, ensuring it is accurate, relevant, and aligned with the learning objectives. Review and provide feedback on content for quality, accuracy, and engagement.
  • Instructional Strategy: Apply best practices in instructional design and use appropriate learning theories and frameworks to design effective learning experiences.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with content developers, graphic designers, animators, and other team members to create engaging learning modules, including e-learning courses, assessments, and multimedia content.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all content meets industry standards, accessibility requirements, and the company s internal guidelines. Perform detailed quality checks before content delivery.
  • Project Management: Manage the entire content development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery. Coordinate project timelines, ensure deliverables are met, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Assessment Design: Develop assessment tools (e.g., quizzes, tests, assignments) to evaluate learners progress and ensure alignment with course objectives.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and key metrics to management and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Curriculum Design Expertise: Strong background in designing curricula and learning programs for digital platforms, with knowledge of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Content Development: Proven ability to develop and review high-quality, engaging educational content for diverse learners, particularly in the context of vocational training or blue-collar skilling.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex content development projects, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Experience with e-learning tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar is highly desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content that is error-free and learner-friendly.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze learner needs and content effectiveness, using data to inform content improvements and ensure alignment with learning goals.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Comfortable working cross-functionally with SMEs, designers, animators, and other team members to deliver comprehensive learning programs.
  • Knowledge of Blue-Collar Skilling: Understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of skilling programs for blue-collar workers in India and South Asia.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in designing and developing skilling programs for blue-collar workers or vocational training.
  • Familiarity with gamification or other innovative learning techniques to increase learner engagement.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards for e-learning content, including accessibility (WCAG) and SCORM.

Education:

  • Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning and Development, or a related field. Graduates from top-tier institutions are preferred.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in curriculum design, content development, or instructional design, ideally within the e-learning or ed-tech industries.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end curriculum development, including content creation, quality assurance, and project management.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: 8-12 LPA (depending on experience).
