JOB DESCRIPTION
Background on the Team
GSD is the Clint's data warehouse for all securities traded or having trading potential .
This team creates new Equity setups as requested by the Investment team, Compliance and/or any other functional teams. Team provides 24/5 coverage to traders and has set a benchmark of 20 minutes for addressing all trader queries. Similarly, Client has deployed a 3rd party system Aladdin for order/trade management system for booking Fixed Income trades across regions. Aladdin maintains its own security master and hence this team has to create and maintain security data for Fixed Income and Liquidity business in Aladdin security master as well - which later flows down to GSD.
Its a three member team. The individual will play a key role in ensuring high quality data is available and updated on GSD as this is a global application and data updated here is used by several downstream critical applications across Asia, US and Europe Operations. Analyst will also be responsible for reviewing coupon and amortization breaks between GSD and Aladdin identified as part of the cash and position reconciliation for Fixed Income accounts.
This position will be located in Mumbai, India office of Client and would require the individual to work closely with Operations teams in our international offices.
Primary Responsibilities
Providing GSD/Aladdin coverage to traders and other stakeholders primarily in Asia & Europe (partially).
Reviewing Exception reports for GSD / Aladdin on daily basis.
Researching and fixing coupon and amortization breaks between GSD and Aladdin identified as part of the cash and position reconciliation for Fixed Income accounts.
Partnering with location (NY) for any Setup related cleanups / projects.
Skills required (essential)
The Person Specification is a profile of the personal skills, qualifications, abilities and experiences you will be looking for
o Graduate / Post Graduate with3-5 years of experience in related field, e.g. database management, data validation processes, quality control reporting; specific experience with data conversions a plus.
oBasic Knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income securities and its attributes
o Relevant prior experience in dealing with Corporate Actions will be an added advantage
o Direct experience in the Asset Management or Securities business a plus.
o Strong analysis, design, and problem solving skills necessary.
o Strong organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple activities.
o Strong team player with a results-oriented focus and a highly disciplined approach to meeting objectives.
o Working knowledge of Windows and client server environment.
o Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and flexibility to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
o Responsible self-starter with the ability to take a proactive approach to projects and tasks in implementing solutions.
High degree of computer literacy, including working knowledge of Windows-based applications
