Business Description

The Data Disposal initiative was established in Q3 2019 to drive bank wide scoping of disposal priorities, definition of supporting processes with a key focus on Legal Hold operationalisation and preservation, developing defensible disposal plans and overseeing their execution.

The initiative covers all storage types (electronic communications, voice, applications, unstructured and physical data) across Client and will ultimately lead to material cost benefits in addition to meeting the Data Strategy and Data protection objectives.

For 2021, scope has been expanded to include an F3 audit finding that aims to remediate gaps in the Banks archiving capability, with an initial focus on structured data within applications.

The initiative will provide a unique opportunity to have a material bank wide impact and support a complex cross-divisional change agenda.

Position Description

The Archiving Strategy Technical Analyst will support the cross-divisional Archiving work stream as well as taking on other deliverables as the initiative evolves.

- Support the Programme Lead on the Archiving work stream across the structured and unstructured data landscape.

- Partner with Business Divisions, Group Architecture and CIO functions to support the design of the archiving technical principles & standards to be implemented

- In conjunction with key stakeholders, support the technical assessment of structured archiving solutions, with a focus on Cloud integration.

- Partner with ITAOs & Archive owners to complete archiving certification & assessments, documenting gaps for remediation

- Partner with GRMO, ITAOs and the BIRO community to ensure effective training and communications to key stakeholders.

- Working with the Lead Business Functional Analyst, define record schemas for priority record classes.

- Delivery of additional initiative outcomes as required.

Job Requirements

Essential skills

- 5+ years as a Technical Business Analyst in a similar environment

- 7+ years of relevant industry experience

- Experience in supporting Records Management or Archiving related programmes within the Financial Services industry

- Extensive agile experience

- Experience of managing conflicting priorities

- Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability to interface and converse with stakeholders at all levels

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

- Excellent technical skills
