Job Description :
- The Storage Infrastructure Engineer will serve as a Technologist in the evaluation, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the storage systems.
- In-depth knowledge of storage technologies and storage systems architecture.
Experience working with Storage Technology vendors. - Passionate about working in a lab with mockup test units; set it up, rack it, configure it, provision it, etc.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge; kernel, filesystems, performance profiling, and optimization
- Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise to support complex Storage & Backup devices, including SAN, NAS, and Backup solutions across all tiers, under minimal supervision
- Operate in complex, highly-secure, highly-available, operations-centric datacenter environments and interact with other technology domain experts as required, to build and maintain the Storage and Backups solutions in those datacenter environments
- Write technical design and build documentation for storage infrastructure
- 8-10 years experience with major Cloud Block Storage such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, storage technologies, software-defined, and scale-out architectures and application use of public, private, and hybrid cloud offerings.
- Experience with storage protocols such as S3, iSCSI, NAS, NVME/TCP
- Advanced understanding and experience performing Product evaluations and Certifications for Block Storage Products
- In-depth knowledge of cloud storage implementation and best practices
- Experience performing root cause analysis of Production incidents and recommending tactical and strategic solutions to SRE teams
- Experience in the storage software stack, like system utilities, file systems, device drivers, and controller firmware.
- Experience in storage devices and interfaces (e.g., HDD, SSD, NAS, SATA, SAS, and NVMe).
- Experience in enterprise storage servers, performance analysis, reliability engineering, and virtualization/acceleration.
- Experience in large-scale and secure fleet management of servers and components.
- Primarily NetApp and EMC storage technologies, some familiarity with, HP 3Par Storage Array installation, configuration, and administration would be considered an asset
- Storage allocation, upgrades, and optimization standards
- Storage Performance Tuning
- Proactive monitoring and tools implementation
- Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN switch installation, configuration, and administration
- SRDF/DR, Storage management tools (ECC, SE, ESRS, SMC/SPA)
- Experience with EMC s VMAX, VNX, Symmetrix, and Celerra platforms, Hitachi (HDS), 3PAR storage, NetApp, Cisco SAN Switches & Symantec NetBackup, and Data Domain.
