Director Of Quality Engineering Job in Punchh

What You ll Do

• Own Punchh s product quality and represent QE on Punchh s Product & Technology leadership team
• Drive software quality end to end while focusing on great customer experiences
• Design, roll out and drive adoption of QE and test automation practices for functional, system, automation, load and performance testing at a large scale.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that focus on product quality and delightful Platform Experiences
• Hire and manage a global team of software quality engineers
• Collaborate with product management, engineering managers and DevOps team to ensure delivery of high quality features
• Implement and manage a test orchestration, execution and reporting framework that is used by all teams
• Implement standards and guidelines for test code reviews and drive their adoption
• Uplevel our product quality through more comprehensive testing in the areas of performance, availability, security and privacy
• Own and manage test environments, including CI/CD and test automation

What You ll Need

• You have been part of an engineering leadership team before. Experience managing global teams is a big plus. Demonstrated team and senior technical management leadership experience with teams over 20 people
• You have a strong propensity to drive product quality through test automation
• You get excited talking about static code analysis, tech debt and catching bugs
• You know how to influence teams and team members that are not reporting to you
• You are comfortable representing Punchh to stakeholders and customers as it pertains to our service quality
• Hands on experience in software programming and scripting; experience with database technologies like MySQL and Mongo DB
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming/Design principles
• Ability to lead the design and development of custom automated tests and test frameworks such as Selenium, Webdriver, Appium, Test Caf , etc.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or an equivalent discipline
