Roles and Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Should have minimum 6-8 years infra support experience with at least 3 years in Oracle Secure Backup (OSB).
- Hands-on Experience Installation, configuration and management of OSB servers
- Monitoring components of OSB servers, including databases, logs, tape libraries, messages and backups.
- Able to Define and manage storage pools in line with standards.
- Experience in Upgrade and migrate OSB server.
- Able to define and manage retention policies, management classes and copy groups.
- Monitor and ensure that backup server maintenance tasks are successful on a daily basis, correcting any errors when necessary.
- Provide support for backup server Tape drives and library problems, including halting and/or restarting the backup server software application.
- Experience in DDR and provided support.
- Configuring OSB scheduling.
- Plan to determine Storage and Backup needs and solution for Enterprise projects.
- Solving Failed and missed backup problems and to work on root causes.
- Weekly schedule of new servers/Tapes to OSB Server Registration and Association to backup schedules and test.
